Birthday Bear!

I'm OLDER today then I've ever been BEFORE.
Many thanks to my family and friends for seeing me this far along in life.
In honor of the day I drew this bear eating some cake that he's made with beer.

Bear with a Beer...

Sorry I've been away for so long... I have been drawing and paying the bills here so that I have food and electricity along with the rent required for my domicile... HOWEVER, I was SHOCKED when I realized that I've neglected drawing bears lately, and I also am having a beer at the moment... So I bring this quickie lil' bear with booze image...

Beers, Bears. and Bar napkins...

A friend sitting nearby me at a pub says, "Hey Pedro, what are you drawing on?"
After a brief pause I mumble, "uh, a bar napkin.."
Then Following another longer pause they then say... "So that's archival quality bar napkin isn't it?"

Yep, I draw on stuff that falls apart and doesn't keep so well.
But, I still hope you dig it anywho...

P.S. The first image here was actually referencing some clip I'd seen earlier that day online... Of a bear waving at someone. I'm sure you can run it down in the Video Web and have a look.

What's in a name...

If this image is any indication It has to do with Beers and Bears... Kinda like the title of this here blog...

Subject Matters..

So,
I've neglected drawing this stuff for just a while... My apologies...
I fiddled out some little bear drawings and decided to flex some of my rusty Korean writing skills with the aid of a bilingual dictionary.
Funny enough, the Korean words for sword is very similar to the word for Bear. Writing them out shows how closely they resemble eachother.

Beyond that I just have a page of little bear drawings in different situations. Then tacked on some Korean words. Some of them are actually written and pronounced just like they are in English (Hive is "Ha-ee-bu"), but a few of the words are unique (Butterfly is "Na-Bee)...

Berfday Beer!

Yep... Today marks my anniversary of existing on this planet for another whole year. I wanna give Big thanks to my family and friends for making things interesting and keeping an eye on me.
Personally, I didn't really feel like working too hard today, because I wanna relax a bit. So, I doodled out this bear here and pretended like he has gotten me a fine pint of beer and a gift in commemoration of the day... Planning to take it easy...
Also, I've been digging into the work of T.S. Sullivant (if the style of the bear looks familiar to any of my viewers) after having heard about him on DEJA VIEW... It just makes me wanna draw even more looking at some of these images... Very inspirational...

Finally, I wanna thank you all for sticking with me here at the blog and keeping me company.
Its the best gift a guy could ask for...

BEAR AND BEER!

Together again, Beers & Bears, and my Blog... I'll have to remember to draw them more in the future. However, at the moment I'm getting into some very busy assignments at work... So I've got to work out the time management abilities. Please keep checking back for new posts though. I'll keep chipping away at it...because I didn't study to be a Doctor, I studied the visual arts..

31 and COUNTING....

Yep, its the twenty-sixth day of the sixth month. My 31st year on this big ol' planet earth. I certainly hasn't been easy, but it sure has been interesting.. Big thanks, to my folks for making it all possible and to every person I've met along the way. Here's hoping that then next thirty one years are extra productive, full of happiness, and continue to be an adventure...
In commemoration of this day I've drawn....a bear....with a beer.....Big surprise eh?...

FINALLY A BEER....!

Here is a drawing I did on a table mat. It was drawin in a bar that I visited with my brother (Tony) and his lady (Kate) while they was in town. Ther character is very loosely based on my brother but he doesn't have sideburns or that nose... but he does drink BEER!!.
It dawns on me that I need more beer drawings on this Blog... I will have to get on with that...
