I really like the pentel Sign Pens. They make thick even black lines and if you rub the page after marks you can get great Smeared effects. Here's one I did a while back..
Hah, Mountain Head Guy! I like the blending effect you got. I don't do enough of this kind of drawing, so I can't quite tell-is the black smudged much or is it mostly the red? And how did you get the texture, especially inside the ears?
um...its the black pen that's smudged, I did smudge it a fair amount too... it looks red because I toned the black line inks in ps... Other then that the textures in the ears is actually just some red pencil work over top of the original pen drawing... I'll post it up too here in a day or so..
