Big Fat 'Stache Dump...

Well,

I screwed the pooch on this one. I've not posted in something like A week or two....SHAMEFUL. So here is some Ketchup, for your daily eggs and hashbrowns.

First, We look at the Grizzly Gulch VULTURE. So, named because most of the data found on this bird places it around the area now know as grizzly gulch, Utah. early settlers were able to see the last of these great carrion birds of the west. Even some early wester novelists commented on this birds particular love of preening its long whiskers with a pomade, composed of spit and entrails. The bird was characterized as having a loud cackling call (often called a "Laugh"), and was also recorded to steal the deeds to houses, swipe farmers daughters, and tie cattle to railroad tracks. Truly, a masterful bird of the great American west.

Next, I have a rare rendering of a "MAN-TELOPE". This animal is rumored to still exist in secluded areas of the vanishing American plains. Few Fossils and remains have been collected simply because this creature migrates to the seas as it dies. There the creature sets adrift on its mighty mustache to be buried at sea. MANTELOPE pelts are extremely rare, and make terrific rope.

Happy TURKEY DAY! (ITS BELATED!)
Few People Know that Turkeys in late Jurassic period had extra GOBBLERS. These mustache shaped Appendages where brightly colored like yellow sunkissed gold and said to be used as a warnging to predatory animals. Its calculated that with this extra mustache power, the bird could put any creature foolish enough to eat it into a one week coma after only half a servings worth of meat (light or dark). Early native tribes are told to have captured the bird to harvest drugs that would incapacitate animals that they would hunt. Tribes called these food animals PHANN, and they would TRYP them with the TURKEY's powerful biological sedatives. This is the origin of our modern word Tryptophan.

Finally, I will close out my study of the 'STACHED animals by discussing the now extinct Desert Bwondo Lizard. Fossils of this creature have shown it could grown mustache whiskers 6 feet long. This early Lizard is believed to have used these Mustache whiskers to smell and taste its food. It is also believed that the males of this species used their Fine whiskers to cradle and steady unhatched eggs as these nomadic creatures wandered the arid lowlands.

This will wrap up my mustahce animals week.. I have more drawings and some yet to catch up on. I will post some more soon.

Till then, Keep on plugging away and if you wish to help my mustache with a donation. just go here.

THE "HUGGY" BEAR

Little known among the Bear kingdom is the Peculiar, "HUGGY" Bear. This bear is so named for his festive garments and charming facial hair. Discovered by DR. ALFONSE HUGGINTON in the late 1700's. He realized that this bear traveled over great distances and freely mingled with many different types of bears. Its the only bear known to "get down" with bears outside of its species, and carries itself around the forest in a very laid back manner.
Even stranger is this animals attention to its appearance. Sometimes spending hours at a time preening and grooming his mustache and fur.

Truly a marvel of nature.

PREHISTORIC PIG 'STACHE

Few people know that pigs used to have mustaches. This unique appendage offered them the ability to forage for morsels, along with increasing their ability to distinguish a wide array or odors. The MOUSTACHE PIG is all but gone today but with the fossil record and many well cataloged and documented finds we can prove not only that this great porcine creature roamed the earth. But, we can also begin to see this majestic creatures origins.
Here you'll see an artists rendering of MOUSTACHE PIG, and his Prehistoric forefather. PORCASTACIKUS, several digs in the american heartland have unearthed full skeletons of these mammoths. Preliminary studies tell scientists that the PORCASTACIKUS; or PORCKUS for short, was a sizable creature. They also suspect that their massive and unkempt mustaches played a part in both combative defense maneuvers and mating rituals.

Fish-a-puss..

Early fishermen and sailors often told tales of seeing strange beasts during their long trips at sea. Famed among these fabled sightings, was talk of the man faced fish that trapped food in with his long natural mustache whiskers.

It was originally called a "BRISTLY FISH", but in 1673 the French oceanongrapher REMY LA AQUAVELVA named this fish the "poissons de moustache". Modern fish nomenclature tells us that its uncommon for a fish to have facial .hair. But this is indeed a rare fish.

Indeed a most bountiful moustache of the deep.

Its all the stuff from the book, accept you get his live drawing and discussion, along with, animation of all the stuff in the book to help illustrate key points.
All of this for the magical price of.
$914.08 US Dollars (subject to exchange rate changes).
WOW........I guess I have some lawns to mow, and a few yards to rake. But, I wouldn't mind owning it, when I have that kinda disposable income...

Still, even beyond the sell of the evening, I AM UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN THERE!

He was very animated, even chatty for a man of 75 year and furthermore I was humbled by some of he said, I took notes. Which I will look over again at another time to further digest. He talked about some of the greats, Jones, Kahl, Harris, and others whilst peppering with the odd video clip.

Really an enjoyable evening, happy to have been there. Made me want to pick up my pencil and GO, GO, GO!
