RE-BURNT

So I haven't posted in about a week....(WUH)...
I've been working on a show image and indulging in the social scene, and activities of NYC...Lots of cool stuff going on right now...
But, all that aside here's some art...

If you'll recall I posted this up some weeks back and have since made some alterations and improvements in the image. Tried to tighten up the likenesses and dinked with the colors a bit...
I'm happier with it... And, at the same time I'm not sure I'm gonna mess with this particular image again.
But, I just figured it'd been seven days since my last post...so this was a good way to fight my recent blog neglect...

Hope you dig..

P

Four pages of Sketchin...

I went light on the photoshop treatment here too short of a little toning and some highlighting here and there..

Enjoy the fiddly scribbles of my most recent book...I think I've almost wrapped this one up too.. Time to sketch on some new and empty pages in another book, or maybe I'll go back to printer paper on the clippy for a while...

Will see..

P

NINJA ELF!!

He'll strike with yule-tide fury and egg nog..

P

Just not quite...

Here's another recently botched caricature....see if you can guess.
The renderings getting better but my likenesses and exaggerations aren't really anything to write home about lately...
AH WELL, its all practice..

P

THE WEISZ IS RIGHT?!

This is from a while back..
Yeah I'm not at all sure about the likeness here...But, I've screwed up quite a few paints lately...I really ought to set aside the time to just take Jason Seiler's class for caricature...Since it does interest me a bit...

Well, back to the tasks at hand....
Hope you dig..

P

SPY STASTIC.....

Here's a super secret agent..
Old sketch from the book with a five minute photoshop treatment...
..Because lots of people wanna see me using less photoshop.

Hope you dig..

P

ON THE PITCH...

FOOTBALL!!!..
Or as they call it in this country...SOCCER..
Regardless of what you label this sport...its something I simply don't watch and know little about...But, I fiddled out this sketch some time back in a drunken fit...

Hope you dig...
P

SAN QUeNTiNTINO

Yeah,
There was a thread going around over at the drawing board that I couldn't resist....
Such an odd lookin' face on this guy...

Well, whichever way you slice it, I feel it was a good exercise..

Hope you dig,
P

RA-RA-RA-RAY!!

I'd watched an episode of Biography about her some days back and figured, my love of noodling out little caricatures and her widely know appearance might be a good challenge for study...
She certainly is Bubbly, and the edges of her mouth curl just so when she is smiling..
Regardless this is just a study with some colors on it... Perhaps I'll dig up the process for it a little later and share that as well...But for now..
Here's Rachel..

Hope you dig,

P

TOMMY GAVIN....

Some people love the guy...
Some people hate him...
I think its a pretty cool little show, with a great supporting cast...
Not sure about any part of this image but, it was quick...

Hope you dig.

P

GET BURNED....

Man, I'm pretty bummed out that I won't see more episodes until DECEMBER....
I GUESS... That just means more time for ART!!.. WHOOOOOOO!!
(I'm not quite it love with it all yet but, see myself trying to pull it together a bit more...

P

Battling Belmont

For any of you who're interested this is my show image from the most recent autumn society show in Philadelphia..
8-Bit and beyond opened on friday and I was on hand to meet some really cool Philly artists, drink PBR, Consume Cheesesteaks, and trek around the city on a sightseeing adventure..
It was awesome..I hope to do it again sometime... It was a great way to spend the weekend outside the city, while not spending tons of dough..

Hope you dig

P

Bad Brewin' N' Stewin'......

So, I think something is wrong with my website, it appears the months of neglect have made it a little septic....I apologize for any trouble this may cause....

I'm looking into matter and hope for swift and decisive resolution.

Shipwreck MONDAY!..

Here's a skribble of a salty seadog stranded on some secluded sandy isle...

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! ABOVE THE CENTER RING... IT'S the ONE, the ONLY......"
"WALDO LA WOOSH!!"
"with a handlebar mustache upon his face he sails through the air with unparalleled grace."

Hey all,
This sketch spawned out of a drink (alright I should say "Drinks") with my friends a few nights back....it was and old tyme acrobatics dude so I took a few in photoshop and I made him a billing poster...
Probably got a typo in there too...I suck at spelling..

Hope you all dig and that your going to have an awesome weekend.
P

Stuff from the beach..

I'm a little down today but, looking forward to the weekend.
Here's hoping everyone has a good weekend headed their way.

P

Feeling a little OFF...

So I'm getting back into the swing of things after a really great vacation in Michigan... Yes, I said Michigan. But, for whatever reason I'm having trouble getting any focus and direction for future projects that I've got a mind to work on here.

This drawing of a dude should kinda sum up where my heads at right now.....in the fog..
Its a draiwng I did at the beach, and then peppered it with some colors.

Hope you dig.
P

Fuel for the Day..

I'm back into the swing of things, and returning from a very enjoyable and rather exhausting vacation. In the coming days I'll see about putting up some of my drawings from my time in michigan... Then I've gotta see about doing some new show pieces and upgrading some home computer stuff... Exciting things to come...

Hope you all dig.
