A quick little sketch from midday... Fun shapes and a splash of color.. I'm a big fan of color and texture lately. Fun cartoon type shapes are also great.
Hope you dig..

Prequel to Death..
This is one of a few color images I'd worked up while trying to figure out my Showpiece for the Iconoclastic Dead show that opens tomorrow in Mexico City... This image had quite a bit of the content that wound up in the final image but the composition was altered. I'll share that with you here tomorrow along with a look at the final image.. but for now....
Here's a colored sketch study.
Hope you dig.

Albino Gal
Just a little fair haired and fair skinned girly with some bright colors and designer fashion... The sketch (like most of my sketches) was very very loose, this lends to her long neck... But, the rest was just good fun... Liking bright colors lately, and I'd seen a woman with this kind of hair and skin tone a few days back. So, I played with it...
Stay sexy everyone, Hope you dig.

P.S.. This is also POST THREE HUNDRED!! ALMOST THERE!!
Sword of Honor, Sword for Hire.
Working as an artists makes me think about Samurai sometimes... The pencil/brush/pen can be like your sword... You defend your name and honor your work... Also, if you do a bad job your often left feeling like committing Seppuku.. Man, I want to watch some Samurai movies in the next few days... Lots of things to work on in October, gotta get cracking... Wish me luck.
Hope you dig,

Long live the Dead.
Yep... I'm getting some info that my artwork has made the journey down to MEXICO for the ICONOCLASTIC DEAD show at the beginning of next month... I'm paying tribute to an artist that has always inspired me by using his style in a Dia De Los Muertos themed image. This is a snippet of my show submission, and I'll be posting a full image closer to the show date. Hope you dig..

Happy Friday One and All.
I'm getting ready to have a little downtime this weekend and work on my stuff amongst other things. Here's another bird with wacky eyes... Been excited about drawing wacky eyes since I checked out a Kirk Reinert show last night here in the city... His illustrations are lots of fun... Definitely, inspiring stuff...
Well Hope you dig the Bird!,

Generic Princess type stuff..
Yep Still love drawing profiles...and fiddling with bright colors...This here is a princess of some far off land.
Right now I'm, Looking forward to getting some sit down time with a few art friends this weekend in the city to draw over pints and discuss current affairs... I'm trying to stick with my goal but ever since my trip home at the beginning of the month its been a bit of a challenge, getting back on the horse and doing a daily post... Much less a really good and challenging daily post...But, I'm gonna check out a few gallery shows this week and see about taking in the JIM HENSON exhibit at the MOMI so I'm optimistic the my creative juices will thaw out soon.
Hope you dig,

An American in PARIS...
"Dinner Bell at the Bottom of the Food Pyramid"
I was a recently honored by an invitation to an 8-Bit Video games themed show in PARIS, FRANCE at FLAQ Gallery (8-Bit Champions). Yep, this is the first international viewing of my artwork, and I'm really excited.
I made an image themed on PAC_MAN which explains the recent rash of PAC MAN here on the blog. I also tried to change up the type of image I was making. I'm pretty happy with the outcome and see myself making more 8-bit tribute images in the future just for my own entertainment.
Now on a sadder note. I,ve recently found out, that my image (above) will not be in the opening night of the show, which is right about now because of timezone differences. I'm told that its due to some kind of problem with postal papers and foreign Customs... DANG....
However on a happier note, I'm told that the work will be added to the show in when it clears customs... HELL YES!.
I'd like to end by thanking Thomas and Joe in coordination with the Autumn Society for making this event happen and for letting me be involved.. MERCI, and THANK YOU!
As always I hope you dig.

Nail BITER...
Just a teaser image... I'll post the whole thing here a bit closer to the show.
Here's a snippet from a Pac Man image I have in an upcoming show... The artwork should be at the gallery by now but, they don't seem to have it. I'm trying not to freak out though. Well, maybe I'm freaking out just a bit...
Hope you dig.

Taking A Short Breather...
Along with this almost uncanny rendering of my likeness I'm posting to let everyone that follows the blog know that I'm almost three quarters way through my goal of 400 posts in a year.. AND IT ISN'T even the end of SEPTEMBER YET!!...
Still I'm opting to back off the blog for just a short while... Maybe a week or so, while I work through finishing some show images, and take a small vacation homeward...
I look forward to posting more in the coming weeks and months.
Thanks for following along...
Hope you dig,
