Here is my artwork from the 80's Toy show, held by THE AUTUMN SOCIETY of Philadelphia... It's my tribute to CONSTRUX, a toy I personally love a great deal.. I formatted it within a Mandala, to kinda signify how zen-like it was to build with these when I was a young boy. Beyond a few printing snafu's I really like where this image was going and am entertaining the idea of doing a few more and making a series of them....so that I might design other parts from this toy line and arrange them in wonderful ring-like patterns...
If your off to the show snap some photos for little ol' me and let me know what you think of the work, or just shout out if you love CONSTRUX too.

lovely stuff pedro, so thats why we haven't been hanging out-you were busy being productive!! sneaky!!
Show me more lovely art!!
Hey...you tweaked it out even further since I last saw it. I like the fading grid in the center...and the major separation of the blue pieces next to the yellow spaceman. Nice piece.
I like the somewhat kaleidoscopic design. It's very positive and flowing.
Holy crap I totally had that as a kid... Amazing!
GLAD TO SEE SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS WHAT THE HELL CONSTRUX ARE...
YOU BUILD IT!!!!
Because they are Awesome..
P
Construx were amazing. I still have two baskets full of 'em. My mom wrote to Fisher Price and asked for a catalog so I could replace a broken tank tread that got a lot of use. I built Ed209 on repeated occasions and had him shoot the crap out of my G.I. JOEs. Thanks for the memories! This is a great image and a great example of art doing what art is supposed to do. Thanks!
Great design-vividly colored!
