Hope everyone had an awesome fourth of July, complete with fireworks, campfires, beer, and smore's...
I myself spent the holiday in Lake City Mich, with my rents, brother, and his girlfriend. I chilled on the beach and got some sun on my pasty white body.....but, you didn't come to the blog to here about that...
You came for images, and art stuff...
So, Here's the Captain America image I submitted recently to The AUTUMN SOCIETY of PHILADELPHIA. It was for there GOLDEN AGE Show, and I figured it was appropriate for the most recent holiday...
P.S.
Before I get bombarded by comments I need to clear one thing up.... I know the Nazi emblem (swasticka) is backwards in this image, I didn't have time to correct it after I'd printed, and prepped to send out in the mail.... I don't normally draw them, there's a good change I flopped my reference image while painting in photoshop and never corrected it..... or you can just imagine that OL' CAPPY is hitting RED SKULL SO HARD that the symbol just flip-flopped.
Either way I'd really love to hear what you think of the image..
Hope you Dig

pretty much love everything about this one.
the painterly look, the action, the composition, the design of the cap, the graphic approach on red skulls jacket...
AWESOME!
well I wouldn't have noticed the the flip/floppy symbol if you didn't mention it. I too love this. The vignetting is great.
Is this Photoshop?? At first glance I thought it was paint...then I assumed it was Photoshop, cuz you always use it...but it looks so painterly and organic. Either way, I love the raw style.
Thanks for the support guys...
Yep its photochop. over a quick layout drawing.....
Will continue to experiment with the program...
maybe get back to painting at some point..

I dont come here as often as I should, and I figured out why... Everytime I do so I end up getting the urge to quite whatever job I am working on and spend my days drawing and painting just to catch up to your ridiculous drawing skills. Great work.
Thanks for all the support guys. I think I'm gonna get involved in this groups next show too..it was a lot of fun.
I might look into doing prints in the future too. Will have to see.
