I'm plotting to do a better one or possibly an image with the whole trio that make up this awesome rockabilly band....
For now I've got his...based on some photo I found...did a few sketches and I guppose I'll keep going from here...

I like this new coloring style, or maybe its just the use of colors themselves. It gives it a "painterly" (though i hate to use that overused term) effect that is both subdued and yet still resonates, especially with the subject matter of a "reverend". It' really nice. I'd say one of your best.

ReplyDeleteI go on all the time that you are a terrific illustrator, and your cartoons are always top, top notch.
But when you draw like this you really do showcase the fact that you have a true understanding of drawing fundamentals (so lacking these days, I think).
I have an incredibly amount of respect for this.
